Frequently Asked Questions

Everything You Need to Know

What is permanent jewelry?

It's a piece of jewelry, usually a bracelet, anklet, or necklace that is custom fit and welded onto the wrist, ankle, or neck. Since it doesn't have a clasp, it's intended for everyday wear!

Can permanent jewelry be removed?

Of course! Although I'm not sure you'll ever want to take it off, your new permanent jewelry can be removed using scissors. If you'd like to have it re-linked, it's recommended you cut on or as close to the jump ring as possible to ensure the chain maintains its appropriate length.

Can permanent jewelry be re-linked?

Absolutely. All of Bee Linked KC's chains are final sale but they come with a warranty. If you have to take it off for any reason, or it detaches at the welding site within 14 days of purchase, I am happy to re-weld it at no cost. Lost and broken chains will be replaced at a 50% discount.

Can my permanent jewelry get wet?

Yes! Your permanent jewelry is water-safe. To keep your jewelry long-lasting, it's recommended that you avoid extended exposure to soaps, lotions, perfume, or other harsh chemicals. Wash and pat dry after exposure to the pool or hot tub. And be sure to use a polishing cloth + jewelry cleaner to shine it up!

Is permanent jewelry safe?

Yes! I use a micro-welder on each piece of jewelry, which produces a very small spark that joins the two ends of the chain. When coming into close proximity with the skin, I will use a leather patch to ensure safety. I will also provide customers with protective eyewear if they'd like to watch the "spark." I offer high quality 14k gold-filled, sterling silver, and stainless steel chains. Seasonally, I offer gold plated and enamel chains and charms. If you have known allergies to any of these metals, it is recommended you do not get linked. Bee Linked KC is not responsible for any allergic reaction that may occur.
